How To Change Default SSH Port? (Linux & Unix)

[Category: Debian] Share: Bookmark and Share

Edit the default SSH configuration file, using this command:

/etc/ssh/sshd_config

Run

vi /etc/ssh/sshd_config

change this line:

Port 10000 <--- choose a port.

If you are using iptables, do not forget to allow the new port for SSH.
